The
Redix AnyToAny XML
Format Converter Engine with Authoring
Tools is a GUI application that helps
the user
to manage your
message definitions and to generate an
Input File Descriptor (IFD). A message
definition can be created using one of
the following
four methods:
- Import from EDI
standards. You can choose between
the EDIFACT or X12 standard to
import a message definition. This
allows you to define a specific
implementation guide, based on the
EDI standard.
- Import from an
existing IFD. If you have an
existing IFD, you can import it from
there to create a new message.
- Clone a message
from an existing one. You can create
a new message definition, based on
the one which you have already
defined.
- Create your own
message definition.
Once a message is
created, you can use the Redix Format
Converter Engine with Authoring Tools to
modify the message definition. For
example, the user
may want to delete an element from a
segment or change a segment attribute
from its value of optional to
mandatory. When a message is defined
and verified without errors, you can
generate a report or IFD (Input File
Descriptor), which can later be used by
the Redix AnyToAny
XML Format Converter Engine or
the Redix AnyToXML Engine. The Redix
AnyToAny XML Format Converter
Engine with Authoring Tools comes with
the following EDI standards, as well
as industrial
databases:
- X12 Version
3020, 3030,
3040,
3051, 4010, 4020, and 4030
- EDIFACT 93A
